We Built This City
A curated gift pop-up shop from We Built This City showcasing London’s finest artists, designers and makers. With their ethos of ‘revolutionising the London souvenir’ at the heart of this shop interior.
The Brief
I was asked to design the interior space for pop-up Christmas shop on Regent Street, London. We had to create an impact on the high street for one of London’s most iconic streets. It was also important for this to be a sustainable and with as little waste as possible. The window was colourful – displays were exciting, and products were popping.
The Approach
Speedy design, we only had one week to complete the entire shop fit out and displays. I came up with the concept of using crates to build the shop. Super modular, super quick and super cost effective. These basic warehouse crates offer a sustainable option to recreate and store any future shop spaces. We cut ply to sit on top with no finish required, just a light sand.
Visual merchandising this colourful collection of creative products was key to making the shop easier to navigate. I curated displays for each area, with storytelling for potential gift givers to make purchases easy, by showcasing London artists, designers and makers. Lighting was vibrant and neons were used to create impact.
