Restored Retro is a business selling meticulously restored mid century modern furniture. Sourcing rare and beautiful design classics. This is the first stand alone shop and showroom for Restored Retro – situated on the newly regenerated Kingland Crescent on Poole high street.
I was approached by Steve to work as a creative consultant and help elevate and transform his brand into a recognisable interiors space. Opening a brand new shop, we decided it was time to strengthen the Restored Retro name, so I started with the creation of a new brand identity.
The shop layout was simple and showcased the furniture. I designed window graphics and internal signage with the new identity to keep everything on brand.
We incorporated a workshop at the back of the shop, making the space feel inclusive of both showroom retail areas as well as being able to view the different stages of the restoration process. It also shows the sustainable approach of saving past pieces and restoring them rather than throwing them away. The eco benefits of this has a huge impact on what furniture goes to landfill, and what continues to be used for years to come.
For the walls, I sourced vintage design posters and prints, creating a simple yet inviting environment. I displayed the furniture pieces as room sets, so customers can see how they may work in their own homes. A few props including lamps, pendants, plants and vases help to show the furniture at its best.
